Pawistik Lodge
Located on the historic Sturgeon Weir River, Pawistik Lodge guests experience
the kind of fishing normally reserved for exclusive fly-in trips to Canada's far
north. Trophy northerns are the norm, as well as amazing catches of walleye
throughout the whole system of 200 miles of rivers and lakes. We have a rainbow
trout lake which sees regular catches over 8 pounds. Although the Sturgeon Weir
is a major Northern Shield river, at some points almost a mile in width, rapids
both north and south of the lodge make the river your private preserve. For your
convenience, we park our boats above and below the rapids - in other words, no
portaging! Our catch and release policy ensures that a large fish caught in the
system lives to get even bigger. Of course, you can keep your limit of fish for
the table. Most of our motors are new l5 h.p. units, as well as new 14 foot
aluminum boats.
