Hunting at Lost Lake Wilderness Lodge

Hunting

Lost Lake Wilderness Lodge offers fall bear hunts, fall moose and bird hunts.

Bear Hunting

Lost Lake is located right in the heart of some of Canada’s most abundantly populated Black Bear territories. The whole area is very beautiful and untamed. Large oversized, carpenter built tree stands make for a very comfortable sit. Baiting is done as far in advance as possible to help offer the best opportunity for a shot. Some hunting areas are for gun and others for bow.....your choice. There is a practice area for daily bow shooting and a sighting in area for gun hunters. The choice of the bait sight you wish to hunt from is yours along with the time of day that you wish to hunt. We limit the number of hunters per week. This way everyone has personal service and the hunters success rate remains high. So if you are serious about Black Bear Hunting and would like to be treated like part of a growing family, pick up the phone and give us a call.

A private cottage of your own completely outfitted with all needed amenities, 3 meals per day (packed lunch). All baiting is done well in advance of your arrival. We bait all summer long to insure the best fall harvest. At no time do you have to do your own baiting. Carpenter built stands are supplied. Separate areas for gun and archery. Hunting area is exclusive to guests of Lost Lake. Boats, motors, gas, fishing bait and shuttle service to and from stands is included.

Northern Ramblings

Once a year Lost Lake Wilderness Lodge publishes a newsletter that outlines the events of the past seasons. It also keeps you up to date with local issues. It offers advice on fishing and tips that you might use. Our "Dear Gabby" column invites questions you might have to be answered by our resident expert. For the cooks, we also have a column of favorite recipes served in the lodge. Let us know if you care to be on the mailing list for this publication.  This is a "must read" for anyone who loves the north.
